Steve Astle Golf Consultancy based in Derby England, specialises in golf coaching and performance programmes for elite juniors/amateurs and professionals. Based at East Midlands Golf Academy @ Morley Hayes and Ashbourne Golf Club in Derbyshire.
I have been a fully qualified PGA Professional since 2001, and began my coaching career in 1998 graduating as the Titleist Scholarship Award Winner and one of the Top trainees of the Year. I am now a full time Instructor who works with Tour Professionals right through to complete beginners. I have also been selected by the PGA to be a part of the GB&I Coaching team. I am also Head Coach for Derbyshire Golf and Lead coach for the Under 18 Elite Squad.
I combine my coaching duties with being a Swing Tutor/Marker for the PGA and I'm also a lead coach for the new Performance Golf Academy at Derby College. In May 2009 I was awarded my Advanced PGA status for commitment to continued development of skills and knowledge. I'm also an Elite Instructor for Todays Golfer Magazine.
SA Golf Projects
In conjunction with emga we are establishing a school of excellence for under 16 year olds with potential to make a career out of the game or maximise their potential. This course will run through out the year and total 80 hours of coaching on a 5:1 max ratio coach to pupils. Call for further details.

Review 2011
A good year with some great results for various clients, Midland open Champion, Notts Open Champion, Derbyshire Amateur Champ, and Pros Matchplay Champion and Derbyshire Pros order of merit winner. Also top 5 in England U.14 Girls. Plus a few course records in pro-ams. Amateur handicaps tumbling down and some really exciting prospects for the future.
Elite player results also included 3 players at Final Qualifying for the Open at Royal St Georges.
New programmes for 2012 include half day and full day coaching sessions, a couple of short game days and play with the pro. See emga.co.uk for details or contact me directly.
